Happy Sunday! I apologize for not writing in the last week or two. I have taken a moment to write tonight. I have always followed health bloggers and nutrition pros throughout the years. I have recently started following Balanced with B, a woman who has suffered many years from GI issues that were all exacerbated by the foods she was eating. It has caused me to become more aware of the way that some foods make me feel after eating them. It seems as if changing your diet can essentially ‘heal’ many symptoms that a person can have from food. It has become something I have slowly realized throughout the years. Fad diets never work and leave you feeling almost worse than before you started. Reading this lady’s blog has given me the motivation to realize possibly what I put into my body causes me to feel, as I usually say, ‘bleh’. She uses whole, fresh ingredients for cooking, and she has eliminated dairy, gluten, and sugars from her diet. She has even found several fresh fruits that have affected her with the sugar content. I have given myself a challenge to not only exercise more, but to be more in-tune to my body and what it is trying to tell me about the foods I put into it. Maybe a little less dairy, and more veggies can help me find balance? I’m not sure, but I think it is worth a try. I’ll keep you posted!
